Morning again Richard,
Rhis appears to be the family in the 1881 Census on the LDS FS Site-
Household:
NameRelation Marital Status Gender Age Birthplace Occupation Disability
John CAIRNSHeadMMale53Perth, ScotlandLabourer General
Sarah A. CAIRNSWifeMFemale48Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England
Martin CAIRNSSonUMale18Newton Solney, Derby, EnglandSanitary Pipe Burner (Earthenware)

Source Information:

Census Place Hartshorn, Derby, England
=====================================
Looking at the IMAGE on FMP, it is PerthSHIRE rather than Perth.
======================================
Back on the LDS FS Site, it shows about 4 JC Births 1827 to 1829, so difficult to decide which one - IF AMY OF THOSE AT ALL, as the OPR Records are far from complete.
======================================
In 1891, they have moved to Staffordshire-

And John seems to have died before the 1911 Census.

The first one seems the most likely for Sarah Ann's Death-

I have not found a likely record for John's Death.
====================================
Also I have not found the Marriage Record for the pair, so suggest that you obtain FULL COPIES of the Birth Records for some of their children - Birth Records in Scotland generally have the Date and Location of the Marriage of the Parents, so making tracing that bit easier.
Been interesting seeing how they moved around etc.
Alex
