If you go to Scotland's People, the most comprehyensive site for BMDs etc, run on behalf of the Registrar General of Scotland, there is a Mary Law or Morton Death in 1861 Avondale, born 1787, that may be the lady you are looking for-
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
============================
There is a likely Death for John in 1868.
Both Death Records should be available as Scanned IMAGEs, to VIEW and Doenload on-line.
Subject to the knowledge of the respective Informants, the names of the respective parents should be on those Dearh Records.
===========================
In the 1851 Census on the same site, there is a Mary Law of suitable age living in Avondale; and there is a person named John in the same Household.
Transposing the Search, John appears to be about 5 years younger.
Allowing for the 10 year shift, the same couple seem to be in the 1861 Census.
===========================
If the parents lived long enough, they may also appear in the early Census/es; and there is a very slight chance that they may have lived to 1855 or later, when their Death Records should also appear on Scotland's People - BUT given their likely Birth Years and age, it is unlikely.
The only way to find out is by doing suitable searches and possibly VIEWings on SP.
