Hi Carolyn,
Thank you very much for the information. I was aware of Ann Bernard and John Cramb as I felt it was logical that Ann should be Jean's mother but, I couldn't find anything to tie them together other than 'Jane Cram'. Your advice that Jean and Jane are probably the same person helps.
Jean came to Canada in 1909, alone, she left Glasgow on Sep 3 1909 on the SS Hesperian, her destination was Lethbridge Alberta.
You are correct on the 1911 Canadian census, I'm not sure why George listed the USA as his country of origin as he was born in 01 Dec 1880 Hamilton, Ontario, District: Wentworth South, Sub-district:Barton. His father was Moses Niblock Jr. also born in Ontario in 1855 and his grandfather Moses Niblock was born in Ireland about 1816 and immigrated to Canada about 1825.
I had seen the Nanaimo 'Cramb Family" in the census but, again I wasn't sure if there was a connection, thank you for doing that.
Do you have any Cramb family connection?
Thank you,
Regards
Tom
