Morning Jackie
FMP is back to normal this morning.
Your grandfather record shows up on FMP-
Ian Dalglish Wardrop
Born Oct-Nov-Dec 1905 Edmonton 3 a 418
If you log on to FMP or find directly the site for the GRO Southport Lancashire, those details will be needed to order up a (Full) copy of his Birth Registration, which will have details of Address, his parents (your great-grandparents) etc.
This will cost about UKĀ£10 (about US$15) and will take about two weeks to arrive.
====================================================
FMP also has the Censuses for England & Wales, from 1911 back to 1841, so you can supplement BMD records with more continuous information about your ancestors.
I have checked in the 1911 Census (prob April), where at first Ian did not show up - as his age is given as "5", thus suggesting he was born in 1906.

NOTE the apparent Transcription error of JAN rather than IAN.
=================================
Given the apparent discrepancy in Birth Year and your gt-grandfather's occupation, also that the 1911 Census that there was one child who had died.
In the last Quarter of 1906, there is an Elaine Elizabeth Wardrop Birth in Edmonton - could be her.
Look for a Wardrop Death from 1905 to early April 1911, to clarify this aspect, checking on FP first, then if necessary on SP.
You should download the Scanned IMAGE of the 1911 Census Entry on FMP, as the original document has more detail than the modern transcription.
Looking at that IMAGE, I am surprised at the Transcription Error, as the "I" of Ian is very distinctly different from the "J" of John and Jane.
==============================
The couple show up in the 1901 Census at Thames Haven on FMP.
Your g-grandparents Marriage shows up readily on SP, you should again VIEW and Download that Scanned IMAGE, as it will lead you directly to the earlier generation etc.
Checking in the 1911 Census on FMP, there is a family Anfilogoff, including "Mary I" aged 9 mnths. Her father was a Naturalised British Subject, originally from Russia.
That couple had lost two children.

As you can see above, once you get started there is a surfeit of information available.
