Evening Rachel Having your grandfather's DoB will make it easy to locate on Scotland's People, the most comprehensive site for Scottish BMDs, Wills, Censuses etc- http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk Most of the BMDs you mention are "too recent" to appear on any other site. Unfortunately however, most of those you mention are 20th century, post-1906; so unlikely to have Scanned IMAGEs available on-line. You would have to order photo-copies from the GROS in Edinburgh, a link is provided. These will cost UK£10 each (about US$16) and will take about two weeks. ------------------------- Once you get back before 1906, then IMAGEs are available to VIEW and Donload on-line, costing about UK£1.40 (about US$2) =================================== For English & WElsh BMDs and Censuses, you have to go to Find My Past- http://www.findmypast.co.uk For post-1984 events, it is similar to Scotland's People. For pre-1984 events, it is distinctly different; and I would recommend that you track down one of the English BMDs that you are sure of, as an exercise in understanding those differences. None of those FMP BMD events have Scanned Images available on-line. All must be ordered from the GRO Southport Lancashire, at UK£7 per item; and two weeks delivery. =========================== You are very unlikely to find any of the information you are seeking on any other sites, unless someone has researched your family and made the results available on those other sites. However, this means that you would be highly dependent upon the quality of the research done. Alex Dow Notify Administrator about this message?
