Once again, thanks for your info. Sounds like you've been doing this for awhile. So far on "Isaiah" I've had five different spellings on five different documents. He was my great grandfather. My gr greatgrandmother left him to go to Canada, and he seems to have disappeared. He should've appeared in the 1901 census, but with all the variants it's going to take some time to find him. Patience and perserverance go hand in hand with genealogy.
