I am looking for any info on William McMath married to Janet Purdie. I believe they were born about 1770s in Scotland. The McMath family appears to have been from the Hawick, Roxburghshire, Scotland area. one child I know of is John McMath born abt 1794 in Hawick married to Janet Elliot.
I believe these to be John's parents as one of their children's names was Janet Purdie McMath
