Thanks for checking. We are most interested in identifying Isabelle's parents and tracing Robert's parents, John Mary (Bell) Dickson, in Scotland but I listed all the folks to help identify the right family.
That's the right Robert Dickson. His age was understated by about 5 yrs in his marriage record, perhaps because he was more than 20 yrs older than Nellie. We believe he was born Feb 1849, however, some records indicate his birth year could have been 1850 and a few records give it as late as 1852.
Robert reported his age a bit differently from census to census and record to record but we are confident it is the same man; he just wasn't too concerned with dates. For example, Robert & Nellie's three children all aged by 11 eleven years each between the 1900 & 1910 censuses but Robert didn't age at all whereas Nellie aged 20 years!
