Afternoon Jenny If you go to Scotland's People, there is an Andrew Lorimer aged 2 to 4 in the 1841 Census, Glencairn; and probably the same person appears in the 1851 Census, aged 12 to 14- http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk There is also another Andrew Lorimer, aged 5 to 7 and 15 to 17 in the two respective Censuses. =================================== Keep in mind that the OPRs are generally for the presbyterian churches of Scotland, so on that basis alone, there might not be a birth/christening record available. Additionally, the ravages of time, war, fire etc, may have destroyed it, if the record ever existed. As the Censuses are non-denominational, theoretically they should cover everyone in Scotland without fear or favour, so you should always try them if the person/s concerned are of the likely period. In this case, the Censuses are also likely to have his mother's first name, siblings etc. If you have not already done so, you should also VIEW and Download his Marriage record from the same site, as it is likely to have additional details of use to you.
