Looking for information re the McLeods in "Armstill" and MacDonells in Crowlin. 1723 marriage contract between Janet McLeod of "Armstill" and John MacDonell of Crowlin witnessed by several people and trying to make the connection between all of them. Jannet McLeod is the daughter of Donald McLeod of Armstill. John "Mack Donell" is the second "lawful" son of Aeneas McDonnell of Crowlin. The contract is witnessed by: Lachlan McKinnon of Breckness Do.(nald)McDonall of Glendulachan Aug. Macleod - minister of Glenelg Some are referenced as sons, but it is hard to determine which person is the father. The witness paragraph is written like this: ".....In Witness qr of (written by Murdoch McLeod, Minister of Glenelg upon stamped paper) all have subd thir ?juks? day, place and year of God @wern before thir witnesses, Archibald McDonell of Barisdel, Coll McDonald, his son. Norman McLeod of Drynoch, Mr Alexander McLeod his son Lachlin McKinnon of Breckness, Donald McDonell in Glendulachan, & the said Mr Murdoch McLeod written hereof."
