I have been looking for Daniel McKenzie born Nov. 28, 1823 who was born near Grantown, on the Spey river. On his tombstone which is in Hutchinson, Kansas it say Strathspey as the place where he was born. On the 1851 he states near Grantown on the Spey river. Regardless, I have never found his parents or any siblings on any parish register anywhere. It is said he had a brother William who came to Canada with Danile and his family in 1855/56. They settled in the Georgetown Onterio Canada area. If you recognize anything at all I would greatly like to hear from you.
