I am looking for any background information available on James Alexander,Jr., born 9 May 1733 in Campbeltown, Argyll, Scotland. Here are the undocumented facts as I have them right now: 1. James Alexander, Sr., b: abt. 1706 in Scotland, died 1771 in Delta, York, Pennsylvania. 2. James Alexander, Jr., b: 9 May 1733 in Campbeltown, Argyll, Scotland. 3. James Alexander, Jr. married first, Margaret Wilson, 1757 in Campbeltown, children: Andrew (1758), Jean (1760), James (1762), and Margaret (1765). 4. James Alexander, Jr. married second 29 Dec. 1767 in Campbeltown, Margaret Agnes Clark, widow of James Ross. Margaret was b: 4 June 1743 in Campbeltown, daughter of James and Agnes (Galbraith) Clark. Children of James & Margaret Alexander: Agnes "Nancy" (1768 in Campbeltown), Elizabeth (Campbeltown), Mary (1773 in PA), John (1773 in PA), Robert (1776 in PA), Peter (1776 in PA), Thomas (1780 in PA), Jane (1780 in PA). 5. James Alexander, Sr. died 1771 in Delta, York, Pennsylvania, and is buried in the Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery. 6. James Alexander, Jr. was a private in the Revolutionary War. He died 9 May 1817 in Belmont County, Ohio and is buried in the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery. 7. Margaret Alexander died 18 July 1809 in Belmont County, Ohio and is buried in the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
