Brazil King Schoggins was my great, great grandfather through his second son James Montgomery Schoggins. But we have never been able to find Brazil King's parents. He married Mahala Blackstock in Henry Co., GA on Jan. 8, 1850. So we find them in the 1850 GA Census as a newly married couple and that is as far back as I have been able to trace B.K., as he was called. His daughter Isabella M. married Henry F. Joiner in Al. And I believe B.K.'s daughter Mahala Elizabeth (Lizzie)married Warren W. Joiner. In the 1910 AL Census James Mongomery (J.M.) Schoggins was living close to B.K. Schoggins and M.E.Joiner and her children. I assuming Warren W. had passed away. On that same census were two families of Blackstocks and on the next page was B.K.'s oldest son that never married Wm. B. I have a picture of B.K. that I can scan and send to you. Which Joiner family are you from? Notify Administrator about this message?
