My grandfather, Lou W. Hardy b.4 Dec 1869 Harrison co., Iowa first wife was Myra C. Scofield b. 9 July 1873 in Iowa, her father was Charles G. Scofield. They was married 2 Apr 1893 in Harrison Co, Iowa moved to Alliance Nebraska where they had 5 children: Roger, Dorothy, Emma, John Gilbert and Gaylord Hardy. Myra died of child bed fever in her home in Boulder, CO on Feb 2, 1902. She is buried in Alliance. That is from her obituary in the Logan Nucleus Feb 13, 1902. They must have moved sometime after 1900 as they are in that census in Alliance, NB. I am interested in if anyone out there has any more information on Lou / Lewis and Myra Scofield Hardy. She bought lots in Loveland, Co one year before she died according to old newspapers I found at www.ColoradoHistoricNewspapers.org. After she died the children was farmed out to family members, I have found them all expect Gaylord he was just a baby when his mother, Myra, died.
