I am just starting to work on a family tree.
As far as I know, three brothers immigrated to the U.S. from Germany around ~ 1870-1890 timeframe to the Cincinnati, Ohio area. One of these brothers was named Joseph Schwinn. Their decendants include Wilbert J. Schwinn (my grandfather), married to Alma Snyder (my grandmother).
The family originated in Wurzburg, Germany. Contact was lost with German relatives right after World War II.
