According to the 1900 census, Robert Leo Schwichtenberg lived in Redfield,Spink Co., South Dakota with his grandparents, Fritz (Fred) & Marie (Mary) Zumhofe. Robert's mother, Freda Marie Zumhofe Schwichtenberg (by 1920, she married a Cole) was apparently widowed by 1900 and was working at a hotel in Redfield. Have not been able to find a trace of Robert's father (Schwichtenberg). Am hoping someone might know something about this branch of the family. Thanks.
