I've found some info which may be helpful.

1870 Census -- Montgomery Co. Schwenksville
Joseph Schwenk age 50
Lydia age 47
Eliza age 19
Henry age 15
Jacob age 13 (b. about 1857)
Anna age 7

That would make Joseph born abt. 1820, which would put him in the right range to be the son of George, b. 1790.

Also, in the New Hanover Church records (Montgomery Co., PA), there is a George Schwenk:
George Schwenk d. Jun 1870 at age 81 y, 3 m, 19 d.

Hope this gives you some good leads.
