George Schwenk-born in Bremen, Germany in 1830, immigrated to the US in 1848. He first settled in Tuscarawas County, Ohio and married Caroline Haupert also a german immigrant. They had their oldest child in Tus. County Ohio-George W. Schwenk in 1853. They then moved to Wabash County Indiana and raised the rest of their family there. This is where George and his wife Caroline are buried. Their other children are Catharine (my great great grandmother) who married Charles Hettmansperger, Elizabeth born 1858,
Caroline (Callie) who married JM Owens, Peter, and Charles Schwenk. Please contact me if any connections. Thank you. (Census records sometimes show SWANK spelling, although my family as stuck with the SCHWENK spelling.
