Hi again Eric,

Yes, I'm disappointed, too, that we're talking about two different guys. I have a notation in my 'Mystery Schwenks' file about a Conrad, though, and I hope it's of some help to you:

Conrad Schwenk, b. Abt 1784-1790, married Maria Catherine Dewald. Children:
Sarah Schwenk b. 16 Jun 1814, d. 15 Apr 1877 @ Schuylkill Haven
Conrad Schwenk, Jr b. abt. 1816

I believe this Conrad and (Maria) Catherine lived in Schuylkill County. As you can see, they could easily have had a child born in 1809. :-)

You may also have luck if you place a query in the Schwenk mailing list. The list owner, Kathy, and one of the subscribers, Tim, both have Conrads in their lines. To subscribe to the list, just send an e-mail to with the word 'subscribe' in the body of the message.

Good luck.
