Hi Eric,

This is a long-shot, and you'll help me more than I'll help you if it pans out. ;-)

I show a John Schwenk who could have been born about 1809, but have no spouse or children for him. Do you know who your John/Johannes Swank/Schwenk's parents were? The one I'm talking about was the son of Jacob Schwenk, b. 1864, d. 2 Feb 1838, and Maria Magdalena Rotenberger, b. 12 Apr 1782, d. 6 Nov 1862 - both buried at Falkner Swamp Lutheran Church Cemetery, so they lived in Montgomery Co., PA

Hope you know 'your' John's parents' names, so I can add Salome as his wife and Franklin Pierce as their son. :-)
