I have been searching the Benner and Ettleman, Clapper and related families for years. This group starte in PA and MD. Mary Swank m. (Sorry, I do not have my notes) John Henry Clapper in the mid 1700's. Valentine Ettleman m. Elizabeth Swank. The three families mentioned above intermarried with two other families and are written up in a book called "Forney's Five Family Records" by Charles Forney. According to a cousin the Swank are actually Schwenk and may or not be related to Thera's group of Swenck/Schwenk. That is Jacob and both his wives. Is it certain the Elizabeth d. of Jacob and Catherine Belz was m. to Detweiler? Who did Mary the d. of Jacob and Anna birge marry? The dates I have for my Elizabeth and Mary are very close to the Elizabeth and Mary, daughters of Jacob.
