Your local library may be able to get a copy of "Christoph's Schuyler Genealogy" (1987) published by the friends of Schuyler Mansion as the Schuyler Genealogy: A Compendium of Sources Pertaining to the Schuyler Families in America Prior to 1800, compiled by Florence Christoph. Volume two (1992) covers 1800-1900. The website for the Schuyler Mansion in Albany ( also offers the services of a researcher who specializes in the Schulyer family for "a nominal fee" which helps support the Mansion, in case you get in a bind.
Wm & Betsy Schuyler's daughter Philanda married James Martin Rudes. James Martin's son William had a son William Chester (Chet) who was my grandfather. So I guess we're barking up the same family tree. I've only begun looking into the Schuyler family. I have a copy of "Christoph's Schuyler Genealogy" on order, so if you can't get your hands on a copy, let me know. Perhaps by then I'll have some better info on Wm Schuyler's ancestors. And much thanks to Tom for the info on the Orcutts.
My best,
