A group of us researching Samuel Schuyler of Fine St. Lawrence Co., NY are also interested in a Jacob Schuyler who we believe may have been a brother of our Samuel. Samuel Schuyler married into our Rice lines. We believe the father of our Samuel and possibly Jacob was Anthony Schuyler who was enumerated on the 1820 census living in Herkimer Co., NY. Samuel Schuyler was b. 1826 m. Roxey Rice, Lydia Schuyler m. Roxey's brother Silas P. Rice and Jacob Schuyler m. Betsey Kinney all children of Anthony Schuyler and Nancy O'Neill. This index of the 1820 census also lists 2 Jacob Schuylers one living in Montgomery Co., NY Oppenheim, pg 444 and the other Jacob living in Madison Co., NY, Sullivan p. 010. There are many Samuel Schuylers listed but one in particular is Samuel Schuyler living in Montgomery Co. Oppenheim p. ? (I forgot to write down the page #) A search of Google turned up Jacob Schuyler b. 1733/34 in NJ d. 1807 in Minaville NY m. Eve Swackhammer and Sarah Douglas had 13 chn including a Jacob and Samuel. We are trying to find out how our Anthony father of our Samuel and Jacob might be related to this Jacob and Samuel and frankly getting confused. Do you have anything on an Anthony Schuyler b. late 1700's or early 1800's? Thank you.
