Lydia: About 2 1/2 tears ago I exchanged E-Mail messages with a Linda McKee (LMckee@aol.com) who said she found the marriage record for Martin Schuster and Magdalena (Madeleine) Kuntz in the church records for Buhl, Alsace (located about 25 miles NNE of Strasbourg). These records gave Martin Schuster and Eve Elizabeth Brecheinn as the parents of Martin and Phillipe and Madeleine Kuntz as the parents of Magdalena (Madeleine).
This Martin and Magdalena (Kuntz) Schuster came to America in 1830 aboard the ship "Pearl". My gg grandparents George and Magdalena (Gerling) Kuntz were on this same ship and also came from Buhl. I believe George Kuntz and the wife of Martin Schuster, Magdalena Kuntz, were first cousins.
