The information you posted about your family rings a bell!
My grandmother, Ebba Schumacher, was from Stockholm, Sweden. Her family originally came from Denmark and moved to Stockholm after Prussia invaded and occupied the province of Sleswig and the city of Hamburg.
Her grandfather C.W.(perhaps Carl Wilhelm?) Schumacher ran a bakery in Gamala Stan (the old town of Stockholm) around 1900. Her father Adolf Schumacher was a lawyer in Stockholm and I understand from my father that another side of the family moved to Goteborg.
I think this must be the same family (only they went to Sweden rather than Finland). I'm presently researching my family roots (which is why I found your message on this web site). I would be glad to swap Schumacher information with you as soon as I find more information on my Swedish family.
