Karl & Marie Schultz from Germany/Poland?
Karl and Marie were my great-great-grandparents. They had four children, Elsa, Freida, Walter, and Leokadia (Lottie). Elsa and Freida died as children from diphtheria in their small Polish town of Schultzendorf, which was taken over in World War 1 and then became a part of Germany, I think, but with a different name. The family came to Canada in the 1930s, to Alberta I believe. However, Karl stayed behind for a few years working before joining his family.
Eventually, Walter married Ruth (last name unknown) and had three children, Trudy, Betty, and Gloria. They moved to the lower mainland in British Columbia sometime down the road, I don't know when.
Lottie married Willi/Bill Heine, a painter, and they had four children; Agnes (died young), Wilf, Walter, and Margaret. Before having their fourth child they too moved to the lower mainland of BC.
I am looking for information on Karl & Marie (surname unknown, but father was "Toms"). Please contact me @ [email protected]
Thank you.
