Obituary
SCHULER, Norman William 85, of Sun City Center, FL, formerly of Lexington, MA passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013. He was preceded by his first wife Grace Kirkland and infant daughter Cheryl. He is survived by his sons Alan Schuler of Lexington, MA, Gary Schuler of Sheldon, IA, James Schuler of Baldwinville, MA, his daughter Barbara Wilson of Brunswick, ME, and his second wife Charlotte Patterson of Sun City Center, FL. He was also a grandfather of six, and great-grandfather of nine. He was a proud graduate of Lexington High School and Norwich University. After graduation, he worked 30+ years for Polaroid Corporation ending his career as manager of the Polarizer Research Group. As lifelong residents of Lexington, he and Grace served First Baptist Church, enjoyed square dancing, and hosted yearly summer family pool parties. After raising a family in Lexington, he and his wife Grace of 56 Years retired to Sun City Center, FL where they lived until her death in 2004. During their time in Sun City Center, he served the community in many capacities; deacon at his church, a guardian ad litem, and EMT for the Sun City Center Emergency Squad. While working at the squad, he met and married his second wife Charlotte Patterson in 2009. Together they would continue to serve the squad, spend time with friends and even sing karaoke. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at the First Baptist Church, 1580 Mass. Ave., Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
