Hello, My name is George and this is my first post to this forum. My search is to find decendants of my maternal Grandfather, "Jack" (John?) Schuler. My search is based on a name, time and place and the fact the individual is of African decent. Here are possible direct decendants, with further information following: John Schuler b. US 1821 (possibly grandfather) and Sarah O'Brian b. UC 1829 (possible grandmother}. John Schuler b. 1855, s/o John Schuler and Sarah O'Brian (possible father). Roy Schuler b. 7 Sept. 1897 on the Oneida Reserve (possible brother). Below is further information graciously provided to me from which I hope to find out more. The Schulers of Tuscarora: The Schulers of Tuscarora were of African descent. John Schuler married Sarah OBrian, called Black Sally, (she was part negro),399 adopted daughter of Peter Klingersmith. She had been brought up by Indians. I have found John and his family in the census for Tuscarora for 1861, 1871, and 1881.
