Samuel Schuler Found Dead in Bank
Samuel Schuler aged 74 years of 693 Grant Street last evening at 7:15 o'clock passed away while on duty as night watchman at People's
Savings and Trust Company, suffering from a heart attack. The deceased was found in the basement of the institution. The deceased had been a resident of Hazleton for the past 34 years and was born near Weissport. He had been employed with the People's Bank since the new building was opened in June 1905, and was a faithful worker for the institution. He had been employed before that time with the Lehigh Valley R.R. Company as section foreman for a period of twenty five years. Mr. Schuler was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was affiliated with Camp No 9. P.O.S. of A. The deceased was preceded in death by his wife last June and is survived by one sister,
Mrs. Catherine Entricken, of Shamokin, and the following childen: Howard at home; Irwin of Conyngham: Mrs. George Smith of Sunbury, and Mrs. Ora Koch, at home. Interment Vine Street Cemetery, Hazleton.
