Hello
I can give information on several members of the Schuler family from Petite Rosselle/Lorraine/France and Großrosseln/Saarland/Germany - perhaps the one you are looking for is not among them, but he must be related to some of them.
My Schulers had originally come from Switzerland to an area in south-western Germany near France. Actually the place where my ancestors had settled changed nationality in the course of history. Today the village of "Rosseln" has a French part: Petite Rosselle (which means "Little Rossel") in the county of Lorraine /France and Großrosseln ("Great Rossel")in the federal state ofSaarland/Germany.
My mother is a Schuler. The brother of one of her ancestors(probably some more, but I only know about this one) was Heinrich (Henry) Schuler, born 10/31/ 1794 in Großrosseln, married to Catharina Schuler, born 9/3/1796 in Gr0ßrosseln.They emigrated to the USA, probably with 8 children, in 1840.
I' m interested in any possible relatives in the USA. I'm living in the South of Germany
