would you be able to see if my Scheeler/Schueler are connected to yours?
John Scheeler (spelled then and later changed to Schueler when( my dad Harlan was born in 1915 or sooner) was born abt 1830 in Hesse Darmstadt Germany he married Katherine Frye and had a dau Catherina b dec 3 1859 New York (what town I don't know) d sept 23 1887 Dub Iowa So I assume they came to NY near the time they had Catherina.
Katherine Frye b aug 23 1833 Hesse Darmstadt Ger d aug 23 1911 Dubuque Iowa.

I want to go back further but am not sure where to start...Is it possible to get someone from Hesse Darmstadt
that could help with this ?
It took me 6 yrs to find out where these Schueler's moved to..from Iowa to Calif. and a couple i couldn't even find a death for them..
