Thank you, Rita for your information. Our Barbara Schuelers are different people, I beleive. According to the 1870 census for Ohio, my great grandmother, Barbara (Schueler) Druckenbrod, was 46 years old and born in Bavaria (I can't read the town). Her oldest daughter, also Barbara Druckenbrod, was 12 and born in Ohio. When and where my great grandparents were married is unknown. No information about the Schueler family (except the Buffalo connection) came down through our grandfather, mother or her sisters. It makes me wonder if there was some family estrangement. My great grandfather, Michael Druckenbrod, was also born in Bavaria and lived in Buffalo before moving to Cleveland. Have you searched the 1850 and earlier census and Buffalo directories for Schuelers?
