Obituary QUEEN Phyllis Christina née Schryer

Phyllis Christina Queen, 77, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington.She was born February 7, 1932, in Kamiah, Idaho, to Robert and Veda (Stewart) Schryer. Phyllis grew up in Punkin Center, Washington, attending school, and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1950.
She was married to Roy Queen on February 7, 1950, in Sedro-Woolley.
She moved to Forks and resided there for many years driving school bus for the Forks school district. She returned to Punkin Center 10 years ago.
Phyllis enjoyed making dolls, working with stained glass, arts and crafts, painting and gardening. She had a strong work ethic and she loved to be a caregiver to many. She loved to travel with her mother, and they made many trips to the East Coast and Arizona for the winters. Phyllis also loved to discuss political issues.
She showed great love and compassion to many, especially her family and friends, and was loved by all and will be greatly missed by us all.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Randy Queen, and his wife, Debbi, of Hayden, Idaho; her daughter-in-law, Vicki Queen, of Beaver, Washington; seven grandchildren, Bryan Queen, Roy Queen, Jeremiah Queen, Brandon Queen, Justin Queen, Josh Queen, Desiree Queen; and nine great-grandchildren, Alexis Queen, Monique Queen, Bailey Queen, Cutter Queen, Shane Queen, Wayne Queen, Hayden Queen, Gavin Queen, and Kannon Queen; four sisters, Barbara Medford and her husband, Gary, Gerry Adams and her husband, Glen, and Veryl Hittall of Punkin Center, and Georgia Mathis and her husband, James, of Birdsview; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; her son, Wayne; and a brother, Bill Schryer.
Graveside services were Saturday, July 25, 2009, at the Hamilton Cemetery with Pastor Ron Edwards of the Hamilton First Baptist Church officiating.
Memorials are suggested to Disabled American Veterans.
