I may have something....Email pjerdmann@yahoo.com......He wrote to me and this is what he told me:
Our family of Schroeder's are Wilhelm and Minnie (Erdmann) he was born about 1815-1819 and from Neiden, when they married 14 Dec 1844 in Nechlin, where Minnie was born and raised 5 Dec 1815. Hers is the family we are related to.
We are doing a history of her father bringing his
children to America after Minnie's mother died. We
have found living descendants of all 6 children but
the Schroeders. They mostly lived in Michigan and
Illinois, after coming to Niagara county NY where a
lot of the people settled from that same area of
Germany in the 1840's and 1850's. Then the
grandchildren seemed to have split all over the
country. I had not found any in Canada yet, but it is
not impossible, they may have been different and liked
the area better. I have alot of cousin's in Canada,
but that is not this line.
