If g-g-grandmother Kittie was disinherited then how then was her fouth husband Thomas B. Grimmett allow to sell the Schrimsher lands and everything they had AFTER her death in 1907 on the courthouse steps? Because Kittie died on the plantation and back then everthing that was hers was his upon the marriage. Yes I have the paperwork from Huntsville courthouse of him selling it all OUT of the family. I know this for a fact because my grandfather Daniel Austin (Schmalr)Cowan went back and was told by Grimmett that Kittie die poor and in debt and he had to sell it all off lot, stock and barrel to pay the creditors off. And the strange thing is I cannot find any death records for Kittie or what she died of. You have any clues?
