Schreiber from Srebneski?

I am trying to find the lineage of Sol or Solomon Schreiber who came to the US at the beginning of the 20th century or at the end of the 19th century. He lived most of his life in New York, I believe the Bronx. He came from Poland, but I don't know where he entered the US. His name in Poland was something like Srebneski, or at least that's what my father (his son) thought it may have been. Thanks in advance.
