An Edward Schreiber moved to Meridian MS sometime in the late 1800s and taught music there. He is said to have been from (or lived in) New York. He was a professional musician, married twice, and had at least two children: William Henry Schreiber and Frederick J. Schreiber (possibly Frank J.) There may also have been 203 children who died in childhood, judging from graves in Meridian.

I have a little more info in an FTW file that is not available right now, but know little about him. William Henry Schreiber was a close great uncle of mine who was born in the 1880s and died in the 1960s in Memphis. He and his brother were Vaudevillians in their early adulthood.

If this rings a bell, please post a reply. Thanks.
