Family records suggest that my great-grandfather, Adelbert Fremont SCHOUTEN, was born in Saratoga County, New York, on 28 January 1850. He was married to Mary Jane FLORER on 24 December 1874 in Coles County, Illinois. He died in Arcola, Illinois, on 5 July 1907.
Family records give his father as Ephraim SCHOUTEN (22 March 1815 - 4 September 1882) and mother as Catherine E. (no last name) (24 December 1831 - 16 June 1908).
Ephraim SCHOUTEN's father is given as William SCHOUTEN (no other information known).
I would appreciate any information on these people.
