I am very new into the art of genealgy:-)
25 years ago I received a piece of paper from my father with some information about my family that my uncle dug up in the fifties.
It is very pover and incomplete and last weekend I started to look again for some links on the internet. I hope you don't mind me asking but if you have any tips on how to research on the net, please!
For instance can you tell me what kind of program you are using for your genealogy?
And do you have any more info on this part of your family history?
It seems there is a parralel for some geneartions from Schouten/Adelaar to Schouten/de Wit where my great grandfather seems to be another son (Pieter Schouten, born on 8-12-1845 + 27-8-1906, x Hendrikje van Vliegen)
I also have this strange mentioning of 2 times Josina Adelaar (both in the same generation) The first is the mother of Adrianus Schouten (*23-8-1778) and the second is the mother of Tieleman de Wit (also mentioned in your list * 20-6-1760). Any clue on this? Could she be maried twice in this famliy?
