any family in NYC orphanage late 1800?

My grandfather was in a NYC orphanage in the late 1800. He does not really know if his name was spelled correctly as Harvey Scouten. The orphanage burnt and all records were lost. He did have a sister, Mable and possibly another sister, Mary. Sound like anyone in your family?
