Deverardo Schooley was probably named after Dexter D'Everardo, who I would consider was the founding father of Fonthill (Pelham) in Ontario.Dexter D'Everardo(1814-1891)was a man of many talents. He was a School Superintendant for Thorold Township, was Registrar of Deeds and Registrar of Surrogate Courtin Welland County. He acted as a lawyer, sold insurance, built an "opera" house, started a newspaper, worked on the library Board as its secretary, was Clerk of Welland County, etc.
