James Monroe Schoolcraft was born November 21, 1897 in Stephens County, Texas and died December 29, 1923, at the age of 28 years, 1 month, and 8 days.
He was converted and joined the Baptist church at Comanche, Okla., at thirteen years of age.
He served in the United States Army two years and two months and was a Corporal eighteen months of the time.
He was married to Miss Flonnie Eunice, March 26, 1919.To this union two boys were born.
He was living at Parkersburg, near Clinton when the accident occured which caused his death.
He leaves a wife and two sons, Owen and James, a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. James Schoolcraft, who live near Foss, Okla., four sister:Mrs. Dona Barnes, Mt. View, Okla., Mrs. Rosa Browning, Washita County; Mrs. Winnie Horton, Custer County;Mrs. Alice Lane, Verden, Okla., and four brothers:A.C. Schoolcraft, Clinton; B.F. Schoolcraft, Washita County; N.E. Schoolcraft, Oklahoma City, and J.N. Schoolcraft, Washita County.
Mr. Schoolcraft was a good citizen, a faithful husband and father and a great number of friends join in sympathy with the family in this hour of sorrow.Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church.
