There were some Schoners that migrated to the states from St Francois Quebec in the early 1800's about 1824. Ferdinand and brother Christian. And the Mowhawks did wander as far south as Ohio and beyond.Check out the story of Isabelle Couc at the followingsite:You need to remember that there were no boundaries to the natives of that era ie state lines.
