I don't have a 'hard' connection, however, something of interest. I have a gr-gr-gr Aunt, Jane Banister who married an unknown Schofield sometime between the 1851 and 1861 British Census'. In the 1861 census, living with Jane and her parents (William and Maria Banister) in Droylsden, Lancashire was a niece, Mary Bottomly. In the 1871 census, Jane was living next door to Eliza (sp?) Bottomly. Do these names mean anything to you?
