Hi Edward,
Thanks for the response & the info. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten back to the 1700's yet. I know the family belonged to a Lutheran church in Chicago. When the KELLER / SCHOENFELD family first arrived, they belonged to Holy Cross Evangelical Luther Church, then later, St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.
Some of them spoke German & Polish.
Some of them spoke German & Russian.

I wouldn't rule out any possibility though, so, thanks again for the info.
