Have been researching into family history and found that my husband's family moved to London from Germany not sure exactly when but they were not on the census prior to 1881. His great grandfather's name was Adolphe Schoenfeld and his wife was called Hermine? he was born C.1859 but place of birth is not listed - it just says foreign -Germany. They lived in Mile end old town. I know they were jewish but no more. Long shot but you never know if you dont ask.- Help?
