Looking for further info on Henry Schoenfield born August 27, 1856 on the southeast corner of Avenue A and Third Street, in the City of New York. His father Abraham immigrated to the United States sailing on the vessel Von Stein out of the Port of Bremen, Germany, arriving in New York City on August 14, 1854. Abraham was born on March 9, 1824 in Nord Stemmen, Germany about 3 miles from the City of Hanover. Henry's mother, Caroline Bluman born March 2, 1828 in Poppenberg, Germany, arrived in the United States on July 5, 1855 on the steamship Hermann out of Bremen. They were married on August 12, 1855 by the Reverend Mr. Wasserman, who was the Rabbi at the synagogue on Attorney Street in New York City. They resided in New York City until 1857,when they moved to Cold Spring, in Putnam county New York living there until 1877 when they returned to New York City.
Henry remained in his father’s home until the age of twenty when he went to Texas, traveling for a dry-goods house in Galveston, Texas by the name of Greenleaf, Black, and Co. He returned to New York he was engaged in the buying and selling of eggs, moved to Nashville Tenn. Where he was engaged in the same business and then to Jacksonville, IL in 1886 where he openned an egg, poultry and ice business. He was elected Mayor of Jacksonville in 1893 but left prior to 1900. Any information about him or his wife Bessie (?) after the late 1890's would be appreciated.

Henrietta b. 1858, Flora b. 1860, Bertha b. 1862, Stella, b. 1864, Oscar b. 1866, Matilda b. 1868, and Louis b. 1871.
