Dear Christina,

I just saw your posting on genealogy.com. I have traced my family back to Johan Michael Shanabarger aka Migael Shönenberger, but have been unsuccessful in tracing the family any further back. There is a record in the Maryland German Church Records at the Frederick County, Maryland Historical Society that states: Georg Migael, son of Migael and Catharina Shönenberger, b. 12 Mar. 1770, bp. 4 June 1770. Sponsors: Johannes Schöheber and the [child’s] mother Catharina. George Migael is my 4th g-grandfather and Migael & Catharina my 5th g-grandparents. Migael was born abt 1745 in Frederick Co., MD. His wife Catherine (unknown) was born abt. 1748. If you have any clues as to his ancestry, I would be most appreciative to know what they are.
Sincerely, Leah Greeley
