I would appreciate any information about Gottfried Schneider's (b. 1867-1872, Switz., also known as Fred Snider) ancestry or his whereabouts after 1881.
Gottfried came to the US on 8 Nov. 1876 aboard the ship "Canada" with Eliza Schneider, 35, and Rosa Schneider, age 6. Also on board the same ship were his grandmother, Verena Von Hemman, two aunts--Lisette Von Hemman and Catherine Bertschinger--and a cousin, Catherine Bertschinger. In 1881, all, except Eliza, were in the household of John Myre in Wainfleet, ON. Gottfried was listed there as Fred Snider, age 9, and Rosa was 13.
