Mike,
There was a Paul Frederick Schneck, who served in the Civil War from Philadelphia. This Paul Frederick Schneck was born about 1825 in Stuttgart, Germany (I just learned recently from another Schneck website). With your Paul Fredrick Schneck born about 1885, and his father William about 1850, plus or minus 10 years, in Philadelphia area, there is a POSSIBILITY that the 2 Paul Frederick Schnecks are grandfather & grandson. Worth looking into, I think.
